Readingglasses.com supports The Resale Shop customers and JFS clients with their eyewear donation

Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas recently received a donation that you have to see to believe!

The Resale Shop, a charitable project of Jewish Family Service, was generously gifted 500 pairs of reading glasses from Readingglasses.com and Goo Goo Eyes of Dallas, Dallas’ go-to source for sublimely chic sunglasses and luxury prescription eyewear.

Proceeds from the sale of these glasses will help provide our professional mental health and social services for free or low cost to those in need. These services are encompassed by our 150 programs, which include drive-thru food distributions, family violence intervention, trauma and grief counseling, services for those with severe and persistent mental illness, and a wide variety of services for older adults, adults, and children. We anticipate over 180 clients will be helped by the sale of the first donation of glasses. This is the perfect example of The Resale Shop tagline in action – “when you give good stuff, we can do great things!”

The sale of the glasses won’t only help JFS clients. A staple of any professional wardrobe, these reading glasses will help shoppers feel confident in interviews or returning to the workplace. Glasses of this quality typically retail for over $20. Thanks to this generous in-kind donation, The Resale Shop is able to sell them for only $4.99. With prescriptions ranging from +0.75 to +3.50 and a multitude of fashionable frames, customers can find a style they love for a fraction of the cost – and feel good about giving back.
