JFS welcomes the new Board Chair, Julie Gothard! Julie is a native Texan who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Marketing and Honors business.
Julie has been involved with JFS Dallas for nearly 20 years, starting her journey after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She and her husband Sander were grateful to JFS for assisting many displaced individuals from New Orleans, including some of Sander’s family. Julie has since volunteered by delivering Kosher Home-Delivered Meals, participating in the Friendly Visitors Program, helping with the Klein Internship Program, and continues to volunteer in the Food Pantry. She has served on multiple JFS committees and co-chaired Woman-to-Woman in 2020. Julie was also a Legacy Heritage OnBoard Fellow with the Dallas Cohort representing JFS.
Professionally, Julie is the President and Owner of Performance Max, LLC, a firm that provides coaching, training, and organizational development to clients across various industries. Outside of work, she is actively involved with many Jewish and pro-Israel organizations. She has held leadership positions or co-chaired events with Temple Shalom, AIPAC, Americans for Ben-Gurion University, Jewish National Fund, and Greene Family Camp.
Julie and Sander live in Plano, Texas. Their children Mikayla (23), Lindsay (20), and Jeremy (18) have all volunteered in the community with Julie through National Charity League and Young Men’s Service League.
