JFS Student Impact Board

We are looking for high school students to join the JFS Student Impact Board!

If you are passionate about serving the community and supporting JFS Dallas, this is a great opportunity for you. As a Student Board Member, you’ll volunteer on various projects that help individuals and families in need, build community, and develop your leadership and organizational skills. You can make an impact in many ways, such as hosting food and hygiene drives, volunteering in the JFS Holiday Store, stocking shelves in the Food Pantry, or coming up with new and creative ways to help. The Student Impact Board has something for everyone!

What to expect:

  • This upcoming term will be September 2024 – August 2025
  • Must be a high school student, aged 12-18
  • Attend at least 4 out of 6 meetings
  • Participate in at least 3 out of 4 projects
  • You will receive 14+ community service hours that count toward your school community service requirements

Members aged 15 and older can choose from these leadership roles:

Team Leader
(2 people)

If you want to develop your leadership skills, this role is for you! You will help organize meetings, represent the Student Impact Board at JFS events, and communicate with JFS staff through email or messaging.

Project Coordinator
(3 people)

If you have lots of great ideas, sign up for this role. You will lead projects like the holiday store or school supply drive, ensure tasks are completed, and report progress to the team and leaders.

Communications Officer
(1 person)

If you love managing social media, this role is perfect. You will create social media content, promote events, and keep team members informed both online and in person. You’ll know everything that’s going on and help spread the word!

If you’re organized, this role is for you. You will recruit volunteers, manage sign-ups, and ensure volunteers are organized and understand their tasks.
