Food Assistance

Community members should never have to worry about where to get their next meal. We operate a “client-choice” food pantry, which means community members who seek food assistance shop for themselves, like they would at a grocery store. We stock an array of items based on nutritional guidelines from the North Texas Food Bank. Our core available items include canned fruits, vegetables, and proteins, beans, grains, meat, and eggs, along with various donated items such as bread, frozen meals, and produce.

Oma's Kosher Corner

Our Food Pantry includes a designated section for kosher food, providing individuals who adhere to kosher dietary laws with access to kosher meat, pantry staples, and seasonal items such as Kosher for Passover food and other holiday essentials.

Case Management and Whole-Person Care

Those who use our Food Pantry have access to our individual and family counseling, employment counseling, family violence intervention, special needs services, and services for older adults provided by Jewish Family Service. When an unmet need arises, we work to provide information and referrals as appropriate. Wraparound services are provided to address basic needs essential to regaining self-sufficiency.

Kosher Home Delivered Meals

A program of JFS Dallas, KHDM is available to adults aged 60+ who live in Dallas County within our delivery area and are unable to cook or shop for themselves due to physical or cognitive limitations. Our caring team delivers nutritious, kosher meals directly to older adults’ homes. Each delivery includes an entrée, a vegetable, a side dish, non-dairy milk, bread, and dessert. Volunteer drivers deliver meals every Monday and/or Thursday, providing a full week’s worth of meals each time.
