FAQs

  • What is the difference between a financial coach and a financial advisor?

A financial coach helps people build healthy financial habits and manage their day-to-day money. They focus on education, behavior, and long-term stability — not investments. A financial advisor helps clients grow and manage wealth through investments, retirement planning, and long-term financial strategies. They typically need licenses and certifications to give investment advice or sell financial products.

  • What makes JFS coaching different?

With our whole-person care approach, we address not only your career or financial goals but also the personal and emotional factors that influence your success. As part of a full-service social agency, we can connect you with other JFS resources such as counseling, food assistance, and health services as needed.

  • Do you partner with employers or community organizations?

Yes. JFS works closely with local employers, community partners, and educational institutions to connect clients with resources, job opportunities, and networking events.
