Opening Our Doors to the Community

On October 8, we welcomed more than more than 150 guests to the Jewish Family Service of Dallas Karla and Larry Steinberg Building for our Open House.

Throughout the evening, attendees explored our new home, met members of the JFS Dallas team, and learned more about the many ways we provide support at every turn. Guests toured spaces dedicated to services including our Health Centers, Play Therapy, Career and Financial Services, PLAN Clubhouse, Kosher Home-Delivered Meals and Holocaust Survivor Care. They also had the opportunity to discover ways to volunteer and get more involved with JFS Dallas.

The Open House was more than a tour. It was an opportunity to see how each space in our building was thoughtfully designed to support the individuals and families who turn to JFS Dallas for help and meet the staff who work directly with those we serve.

“One of the great things about our Open House is that it gave our broader community members an opportunity to see our wonderful new facilities as well as interact with all of our different program areas to learn about the good work we do here at JFS,” said Nick Froehle, Director of Community Engagement. “Personally, I loved the chance to connect with some community partners throughout the evening to hear about how JFS has made an impact locally.”

We are grateful to everyone who joined us, asked questions, met our team, and took the time to learn more about our work. Thank you to our volunteers, Student Impact Board members and staff who helped make the evening possible.

Whether you visited us for the first time or have supported JFS Dallas for years, we hope you left with a deeper understanding of the resources available here and the many ways you can be part of our mission.
