Volunteers Get Sneak Peek of JFS’s Future Karla and Larry Steinberg Building

JFS volunteers had the special opportunity to tour the future Jewish Family Service Karla and Larry Steinberg Building, which will be renovated over the next year and become the new JFS campus in early 2026.

In the past year, close to 1,000 dedicated volunteers took part in supporting JFS programs. With our expanded campus reaching 100,000 square feet—almost quadrupling our current space—we’re excited to offer even more ways for volunteers to make a difference. The new building will include an expanded food pantry, our PLAN Clubhouse, specialized career and financial training rooms, and a refreshed volunteer break room for well-deserved relaxation.

We are so grateful for the commitment and energy our volunteers bring each day; our work wouldn’t be possible without their support.

If you’re an approved JFS volunteer and missed this recent tour, we still have two tour dates available and plenty of unique volunteer events coming up! You can sign up for the New Building ToursThanksgiving Volunteer Meeting, and Family Volunteer Day through your VolunteerHub account.
