Hannah’s House

You do not have to do it alone.

Hannah’s House is not a shelter. It is a traditional Jewish home for women and their children.

Hannah’s House is Here for You.

Hannah’s House is a supportive home for Jewish women and their children recovering from trauma and abuse. A joint project of JFS Dallas and the National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Dallas Section (NCJW), Hannah’s House helps women rebuild their lives in a stable environment where they can work toward independence.

Hannah’s House is a transitional home serving women who, due to trauma, may not yet be ready to live on their own. With minimal rent, residents have the opportunity to save their money and have access to JFS’s full range of support services. Most stay for six months to a year, with JFS continuing to offer support even after they move out.

Hannah’s House Offers:

  • A traditional Jewish home for women and their children
  • Comprehensive case management
  • Community support and connections
  • Job skills training and financial education
  • Counseling and support groups
  • Access to food pantry services
  • Opportunities to create a financial safety net
