JFS Dallas is excited to announce our participation in Project EM: Empowering and Employing our Community, a collaborative program being launched by The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA) and Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) to connect job seekers with access to an extensive continuum of services via virtual platforms, regardless of the client’s home location. The primary goal of Project EM is to ensure that no matter where someone is on their career path, or where they are live, they can access the support they require to find employment –or secure training and support to advance their careers – all free of charge. This initiative represents the first of its kind effort to build an integrated virtual network for national service delivery.
JFS Dallas Career and Financial coaches will work together to present relative topics on many aspects of self-sufficiency to a national audience. These will include Building Financial Power seminars, Job Search Support Network meetings, Microsoft Office trainings, and other presentations related to overcoming today’s challenges in the job market and workplace.
We will also be partnering to contribute to the following objectives:
- Support impacted Jewish community members and employers.
- Support unemployed and under-employed individuals during their job search.
- Work with national employers to help them develop strong talent pipelines.
- Strengthen the capacities of NJHSA agencies to provide comprehensive employment and related support services.
- Develop a leadership pipeline to integrate this model following the grant period.
This program is generously funded by The Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation, Crown Family Philanthropies, and more.
