Grant Support Intern – North Central Texas Council of Governments

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Reviewing, scanning, labeling, and organizing documentation using Adobe
  • Entering data and maintaining spreadsheets, contract files, and other information systems
  • Assessing records to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Performing quality control checks and updating metadata
  • Creating tables, flowcharts, and process documentation
  • Completing checklists and compiling documentation
  • Updating process workflows using SharePoint

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to and follow instructions, coordinate with other team members, and present ideas
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Detail oriented, highly-organized, with an ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline-driven environment without diminishing quality of work
  • Strong reasoning skills, with the ability to identify data discrepancies
  • Ability to assess historical actions, interpret communications, compile documentation, and summarize findings

Required Education and Experience

  • Must be attending an accredited college or university in a degree-seeking program during employment
  • No work experience required
