JFS OPEN HOUSE

FreeMark your calendars for JFS Open House at the Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas! It’s going to be an exciting in-person event filled with fun activities for the entire family and opportunities to connect with the community. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to JFS, this is the perfect chance to learn more about our agency and our impactful work. Come meet our dedicated staff, explore our building, and discover how you can get involved. Feel free to come and go anytime between 5:30pm – 7:30pm.
Attend to learn more about our available services and programs including:
- Career and Financial Services: Our certified coaches provide resume building, interview skills training, Microsoft suite training, and budget planning skills.
- Priya: A fund to provide financial assistance to Jewish Dallas couples with reproductive difficulties by providing them with grants to help with medical or adoption costs.
- Binah Cancer Support Services: Supportive services for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer at any time in their lives, as well as support for their family members.
- Adult Behavioral Health & Support Groups: Clinical, therapeutic services to address personal emotional crises through individual, family, marriage or group counseling.
- P LAN: PLAN (People Living Active Now) is a program dedicated to providing comprehensive support toward a meaningful life in the community for individuals with mental illness and their families.
- Family Violence Intervention: Crisis intervention and safety planning, counseling, and support groups for the victim of family violence, as well as professional help for the abusers.
- Food Pantry: “Client-choice food pantry” which allows individuals seeking food assistance to choose the products they bring home to their families.
- Community Health Center: Opening January 2024, JFS will start providing affordable primary care to medically underserved patients in the community.
- Older Adults: Services help older adults remain independent in their communities for as long as they can function safely and effectively.
- Kosher Home Delivered Meals (KHDM): Nutritious, kosher meals delivered directly to seniors’ homes, helping them remain independent in their community.
- Holocaust Survivor Care: Case management, counseling, assistance with home care, limited financial assistance, and help with compensation applications.
- Chaplaincy: Community Chaplain for those who are interested in addressing issues of a spiritual nature—or adding a spiritual component to services they are already receiving at the agency.
- Children’s Behavioral Health/Play Therapy: Licensed professionals help children and adolescents identify/understand their feelings, and develop skills and behaviors.
- School Services: On-site assessment, and parent and teacher consultation for students experiencing social or emotional difficulty adjusting to classes and/or the school environment.
- Emergency Assistance/Intake: Our client navigation team helps direct callers to the right department, provides referrals, and assesses emergency financial needs for existing clients.
- Dallas Hebrew Free Loans: Provides life-changing loans to members of the Greater North Texas Jewish community.
