Cheers to our First-Class Volunteers

We want to thank our community for showing up to support the 950 volunteers who have dedicated their time to making the mission of JFS possible this past year. Of the 950 volunteers, 11 received special recognition for their dedication to the agency and to making a difference in our community during the Volunteer Appreciation event on February 28th!

The event had a travel theme to honor our “first class volunteers”, and attendees were encouraged to wear their favorite travel-themed outfits. It was a fun filled and inspiring evening from start to finish, and we want to thank our volunteers for everything they do. Congratulations to award winners Dennis Rice, Michael Malakoff, Gila Appel, Larry Krasner, Debbie Scheinberg, Jan Watson, Jim Warner, Jim Wasserman, Carl Weisbrod, and Perry Zidow.

Last year, JFS volunteers were able to provide a total of 23,108 hours of their time to JFS, helping us touch the lives of nearly 16,500 individuals.
