A Journey to Parenthood with Priya

On April 30, 2026, one family’s long-awaited journey to parenthood reached a joyful milestone with the birth of their daughter, Sasha*.

For her parents, the moment represented more than the arrival of their baby. It came after a journey through fertility treatment, supported in part by Priya: The Jewish Reproductive Fund at Jewish Family Service of Dallas.

“We are extremely happy to share that our daughter, Sasha, was born on April 30, 2026,” the couple shared. “We are so grateful to G-d for this blessing.”

The Priya Fund supports Jewish couples in our community who are facing the financial challenges of building a family through fertility treatments or adoption. These paths to parenthood can come with significant costs, adding a barrier and another layer of stress to what can already be an emotional and uncertain experience.

For Sasha’s family, Priya provided grant funding for two rounds of fertility treatment. Their second round was successful.

“We will never forget the help and support we received from this amazing organization during such an important time in our lives,” they shared. “Your kindness meant so much to our family.”

The Priya Fund was born from a similar story of gratitude. After receiving financial assistance during their own fertility journey and successfully welcoming their first child, a Jewish couple established the fund to help other families experience that same support.

Today, Priya has provided tens of thousands of dollars in grants and helped bring 18 children, and counting, into families through birth or adoption. The program welcomes Jewish couples from all denominations and levels of observance.

“To be part of an organization that, through the gift of Priya, helps Jewish families grow their families is an incredible privilege,” said Carey Nottingham, Senior Director of Navigation, who oversees the confidential application process and distribution of funds. “We have the opportunity to help turn hope, love, and dreams of parenthood into new beginnings.”

Each grant helps ease some of the financial burden associated with fertility treatment or adoption, but the impact can extend far beyond the dollars provided. For families like Sasha’s, it is also a reminder that they have a community standing behind them and hoping alongside them.

And now, Sasha’s parents hope to continue the same tradition of giving that made their own support possible.

“Soon, we hope to become donors ourselves and complete this beautiful cycle of Jewish support, passing along the same kindness that was given to us.”

Their words echo the very story that began The Priya Fund: one family receiving support during their journey and choosing to help make another family’s journey possible.

That cycle of support continues with every family Priya assists and every donor who chooses to stand behind them.

For families exploring fertility treatment or adoption, Priya Fund applications are anonymous, and grants are awarded toward future fertility or adoption treatments to Jewish couples who demonstrate a need.
