If you or someone you know is struggling to put food on the table right now, you are not alone. With the ongoing government shutdown affecting SNAP and WIC benefits, and rising food costs across Texas, many families are turning to community resources for help.

The Jewish Family Service Food Pantry is here to provide nutritious food and household essentials for individuals and families experiencing hardship, whether it’s temporary or ongoing.

We’re committed to making the process simple, dignified, and accessible for everyone who walks through our doors.

The JFS Dallas Food Pantry serves anyone in need, regardless of background, religion, or circumstance. You do not have to be accessing other JFS Dallas services to receive food assistance.

What to Expect When You Visit

Our pantry operates in a grocery-style setting, allowing clients to choose items that best meet their family’s needs. This helps preserve dignity and reduce waste.

You can expect:

  • A warm welcome from staff and volunteers
  • Access to a variety of fresh produce, proteins, pantry staples, and household items
  • Friendly guidance from our team, who can also connect you to additional JFS Dallas services such as counseling, career support, or health care

We also understand the unique needs of our Jewish community. Through Margot’s Kosher Corner, the pantry provides access to kosher meat, pantry staples, and seasonal items, including Kosher for Passover foods and other holiday essentials.

We are here to help you, without judgment or pressure.
