What is the Holiday Market?
Jewish Family Service of Dallas (JFS Dallas) hosts an annual Holiday Market where referred clients and patients can “shop” for brand-new toys and gifts for themselves and their loved ones, completely free of charge. Community members and corporate partners donate to fill the market with gifts, and volunteers create a festive holiday experience for families who may otherwise not have the resources to purchase gifts.
Who does the Holiday Market serve?
The Holiday Market is available to JFS Dallas clients and patients who may be facing financial hardship or other challenges that make gift-giving difficult, and have been referred to the program by their clinician/provider. Families of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome to choose gifts that are meaningful to them and their loved ones.
What makes the JFS Dallas Holiday Market unique?
Unlike other traditional holiday assistance programs where participants receive a pre-selected gift, families will get to browse the market, choose the gifts that are right for their loved ones, and wrap them before taking them home. This dignified shopping experience gives families the freedom to make their own choices and celebrate the season in a way that is meaningful to them.

The JFS Dallas Holiday Market is made possible entirely through the generosity of our community. You can help make the Holiday Market possible again by donating new, unwrapped gifts for all ages, from infants to adults, making a financial contribution, shopping our Amazon Wishlist, or volunteering your time.
Last year, because of generous donors, 190 families experienced the joy of choosing holiday gifts for themselves and their loved ones, and 150 Holocaust Survivors received gift cards for the holiday. With your help, we can make that magic possible again this year!
