Our annual Staff Retreat gave the Jewish Family Service of Dallas (JFS Dallas) team a chance to step back, reconnect, and refocus on why we do our work. Staff from programs across the agency were able to connect, share ideas, and learn more about how each piece of our work supports whole-person care for the community. Those conversations set the tone for a day filled with collaboration, reflection, and a renewed sense of purpose.
We also spent time looking ahead. Leadership shared updates on our upcoming move and walked us through the priorities in our new strategic plan. Hearing how program growth, operational changes, and agency-wide goals fit together aligns the work we’re preparing for—and the opportunities it creates for our clients and community.

Just as meaningful was taking a moment to celebrate the progress happening in every department. Whether it was a new idea, a hard-earned success, or a challenge met with creativity, each update reflected the heart and dedication our staff bring to JFS Dallas every day.
By the end of the day, the room felt energized and aligned. The retreat reminded us how important it is to stay connected across programs and to keep learning from one another as we grow. As we move toward a new building, new goals, and another year of service, we’re grateful for the people who make JFS Dallas a place where teamwork and compassion guide everything we do.
