Community Comes Together for High Holiday Food Drive

Thanks to the generosity of our community, this year’s High Holiday Food Drive brought in more than 8,000 pounds of food for the JFS Food Pantry. These donations will help keep our shelves stocked with nourishing options for individuals and families across Dallas in the months ahead.

The JFS Food Pantry served more than 10,000 individuals this past year, providing access to healthy food and essential household items for those facing hardship. Drives like this one ensure we can continue meeting the growing needs of our community with care and dignity.

We are grateful to our community partners and drop-off locations, including Levine Academy, Adat Chaverim, Kol Ami, Chabad of Dallas Congregation Beth Torah, Congregation Shearith Israel, and Congregation Anshai Torah, as well as to the Student Impact Board and volunteers who helped sort and organize donations.

Every can, box, and bag collected represents the strength of a community that comes together to fight hunger and support one another during the High Holidays and beyond.

You can make a difference year-round by hosting a food drive of your own. Whether through your school, synagogue, workplace, or neighborhood, every item collected helps keep our shelves stocked and families nourished!
