We closed out the summer with a special celebration honoring participants of the Klein Summer Internship Program. Each high school intern presented the impact they made at nonprofits across Dallas, from supporting operations to engaging directly with clients and community initiatives.
During the event, interns received certificates recognizing their dedication and growth. We also proudly announced this year’s Intern of the Year award recipients: Niragna Marada for her outstanding work at Equest, andEliya Asoulin-Handelman for his meaningful service at the JFS Food Pantry.
The Klein Summer Internship Program offers high school students an immersive opportunity to gain workplace experience, develop leadership skills, and explore the nonprofit world. Through hands-on projects and mentorship, interns discover the value of service while preparing for future careers.

Previous host organizations include the ALS Association of Texas, Color Me Empowered, Community Homes for Adults, Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Dallas Jewish Historical Society, Dallas SPARK!, Equest, Jewish Family Service Food Pantry, Metrocrest Services, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Network of Community Ministries, PLAN of North Texas, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, The Legacy Senior Communities, The Warren Center, Wesley-Rankin Community Center, and Vogel Alcove.
We are so proud of everything these young leaders accomplished and grateful for their commitment to learning and community. The impact they’ve made this summer will be felt long after the program ends.
Applications for the Summer 2026 Klein Internship Program will open in January 2026. If you know a motivated high school student eager to serve and grow, encourage them to apply.
