Off-Site Counseling Programs

Jewish Family Service of Dallas proudly partners with several community organizations to provide off-site counseling across DFW, primarily for children. These partnerships allow us to meet families where they are to address common concerns facing children and families, including parenting strategies, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, behavioral problems, and anger management, among others.

Jubilee Park Counseling Center

Since 2017, JFS Dallas has partnered with Jubilee Park & Community Center to provide free, confidential, and culturally responsive mental health counseling to residents of the 62-block Jubilee Park community in Southeast Dallas (zip codes 75223, 75210, 75214, 75226, and 75227). At the Jubilee Park Community Clinic, Behavioral Health Clinicians offer bilingual care for children, teens, and families. From individual counseling to parenting education, JFS Dallas creates a safe and supportive space where residents can manage stress, heal from trauma, and build emotional resilience.

Roseland Counseling Center

The Roseland Counseling Center was created in July of 2019 through a partnership of the Roseland Partners and JFS Dallas to provide mental health counseling and supportive services to the Roseland residents and surrounding neighborhoods. All counseling services are confidential and provided by licensed professionals at no cost to the Roseland residents.

Pedi-Place

Since 2021, JFS Dallas has proudly partnered with PediPlace to provide emotional and behavioral health support to the children, teens, and their parents/caregivers receiving pediatric services at the clinic.

At PediPlace’s pediatric clinics in Lewisville and Denton, licensed JFS Dallas Clinicians offer weekly counseling sessions and work closely with medical staff to deliver holistic, integrated care.

Integrated mental health services at Pedi-Place include child and adolescent therapy to address issues of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, sexual behavior, and others, using a variety of techniques.

To access Pedi-Place services, you must be a current PediPlace patient. Please call 972-436-7962 to speak with our Behavioral Health clinicians.

In-School Services at Dallas area Jewish Day Schools

JFS Dallas offers on-site assessments and parent and teacher consultations for students experiencing social or emotional difficulties adjusting to classes and/or the school environment. Students also have access to therapeutic services for behavioral and emotional challenges. Services are available for students from preschool through high school at select Jewish Day schools. JFS Dallas also provides in-service education for teachers and administrators on topics requested by the schools.

To access In-School Services, your child must be enrolled at one of our partner schools. Referrals for these services are made directly through your child’s school.

For Speech Therapy only, please call 972-437-9950 to leave a message or complete the online form to request access. A staff member will contact you within two business days to complete your intake assessment.

  • Early Childhood Intervention

    An Intervention Specialist partners with parents, teachers, and directors to support preschoolers’ behavioral, academic, and social development. Individual plans are created for students with identified needs, often in coordination with diagnostic testing, speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, or play therapy. Classroom observations help assess both student and classroom needs.

    In-depth Academic Screenings, Individualized Education Plans, Direct Academic Intervention in all subject areas, Student Coaching and Executive Function Support, Indirect Academic Intervention, Parent Support, Consultation and Collaboration, Connection with JFS Dallas and Community Resources, Teacher Mentoring, and more.

  • School Counseling

    The school counselor collaborates with teachers and administrators to support students to thrive socially and emotionally in the school setting.  The school counselor consults with parents, provides social-emotional learning, individual brief counseling, and creates and supports accommodation plans.

  • Play Therapy

    There is a dedicated play therapist who provides ongoing therapy services for select students aged 3-13 in the school setting.  The play therapist collaborates and consults with parents and teachers.  She also provides classroom support as needed.

  • School Psychologist

    Provides psychoeducational evaluations to students enrolled in one of the Jewish schools.  Our LSSP consults with schools and parents to determine the best way to support the student.
