Roseland Counseling Center

 

The Roseland Counseling Center was created in July of 2019 through a partnership of the Roseland Partners and Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas to provide mental health counseling and supportive services to the Roseland residents and surrounding neighborhoods.

Services

All counseling services are confidential and provided by licensed professionals at no cost to the Roseland residents.

Common concerns: Stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, substance use, and anger management, among others.

Meet the Team

Simone Martens, MS, LPC Intern 

Simone Martens is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern working under the supervision of Christine Koehler, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S. Simone obtained a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas with a specialty in Play Therapy. She is certified in Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT®) and can provide services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Her experience includes working with children, adults, and families in both clinical and school settings.  

 

 

 

Zhawantae Griffin, Ph.D. 

Zhawantae Griffin, Ph.D., working under the supervision of Bonny StewartM.Ed., Psy.D., RPT-S, received her master’s degree in Juvenile Forensic Psychology and doctoral degree in Clinical Adolescent Psychology from Prairie View A&M University. After completing her postdoctoral fellowship at Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas, she worked with at-risk youth as a Clinical Coordinator for Dallas County Juvenile Justice Center. She has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy.  Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in clinical, school, and residential settings. 

 

 

Jeannette Sanchez, MS, NCC, LPC Intern  

Jeannette Sanchez is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern working under the supervision of Liz D. Ener, PhD, LPC-S (TX), NCC, RPT-S. Jeannette obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. During her time there she received additional training in Play Therapy. She can provide services in English and Spanish. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both clinical and school settings.
