Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to complete assigned tasks that may include:
- Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze the potential for transportation projects to impact or benefit communities and the environment
- Participating in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process for a roadway in an ecologically sensitive area, such as preparing communications and recommending environmental stewardship best practices
- Calculating population trends using Excel and data downloaded from the Census Bureau, describing these trends in narrative, charts, and maps
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify possible solutions to food deserts, inequitable internet access, and other challenges
- Interpreting federal and state guidance on equity, environmental justice, and the environment, including preparing presentations and developing interactive training
- Additional tasks as needed
Required Experience
- Bachelorโs degree in analytical, quantitative methods (i.e., Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field)
- At least one year of job-related experience
Salary
Minimum of $45,875.00 – $55,050.00 annually
