Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collecting various transit-related performance measures
- Compiling and maintaining databases of project listings and funding awards for the purpose of grant administration, monitoring, and tracking
- Assisting with annual programming of federal funds to public transportation providers
- Assisting with various financial analyses to ensure fair and equitable distribution of federal funds across the region
- Assisting with the preparation of grant documents and verifying all format requirements, funding availability, and deadlines are met
- Assisting with the coordination, implementation, and management of short-term transit-related projects
- Building supportive community networks
- Drafting technical reports and project status reports for supervisor review
- Providing technical assistance and support within the agency and to external partners
- Assisting with oversight and compliance activities consistent with grantor program guidelines
- Research and assisting in the analysis and interpretation of federal, State and local regulations pertaining to transportation planning and funding
Required Skills

- Ability to derive insights and meaningful interpretation of data by performing analyses on various sources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sensitivity to cultural, socioeconomic, and political issues in the community

- Ability to handle multiple projects, organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in analytical, quantitative methods (Business, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning, or related area)
- One year of job-related experience or less
- Experience implementing regional and/or public transportation projects desired
- Experience working with federal, State, or local transportation programs desired
- Experience working with transit-dependent populations desired
Starting Salary Range
Minimum of $42,347.00 – $50,816.40 annually
