Transportation Funding Analyst II – North Central Texas Council of Governments

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the regional funding document for projects and programs
  • Entering data, assisting staff in ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining database quality
  • Evaluating projects submitted for funding consideration
  • Researching project histories and providing initial and follow-up analyses to supervisor, team members and/or regional partners for project inquiries
  • Tracking project efforts to ensure the timely implementation of transportation projects
  • Responding to inquiries received from elected officials, local governments, and the public
  • Supporting the Department and committees by scheduling regular/cyclical meetings, developing agendas, and preparing handouts
  • Assisting in the administration of State, federal, and regional transportation funding programs
  • Supporting the development of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and Air Quality Conformity documentation as needed
  • Drafting correspondence, documentation, and reports for various audiences, including transportation partners, local governments, elected officials, and the public
  • Performing analysis of project listings
  • Preparing and delivering oral presentations to staff and committee members

  • Strong writing, proof-reading and editing skills
  • Proficient in collecting, sorting, and compiling data for analysis
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, with an ability to handle multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline-driven environment without diminishing quality of work
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in analytical, quantitative methods (i.e., business or public administration, public policy, government/political science, urban/transportation planning, accounting, finance, geography, or related field
  • At least one year of job-related experience

Starting Salary Range

Minimum of $51,874.00 – $62,248.80 annually
