Transportation Funding Analyst I – North Central Texas Council of Governments

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting with the development of the regional funding document for projects and programs
  • Entering data, assisting staff in ensuring data accuracy and maintaining database quality
  • Working with supervisor in the evaluation of projects submitted for funding consideration
  • Researching project histories and providing initial and follow-up analyses, under supervisor guidance, to team members and/or regional partners for project inquiries
  • Supporting project tracking efforts to ensure the timely implementation of transportation projects
  • Responding to inquiries received from elected officials, local governments, and the public
  • Supporting the Department and committees by scheduling regular/cyclical meetings, developing agendas, and preparing handouts
  • Drafting correspondence, documentation, and reports for various audiences, including transportation partners, local governments, elected officials, and the public
  • Assisting in the analysis of project listings
  • Drafting presentations for supervisor review, with the opportunity to deliver oral presentations to staff and committee members

  • Ability to collect, sort, and compile data for analysis
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline-driven environment without diminishing quality of work
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in analytical, quantitative methods (i.e., business or public administration, public policy, government/political science, urban/transportation planning, accounting, finance, geography or related fields
  • One year of job-related experience or less

Starting Salary Range

Minimum of $45,736.00 – $54,883.20 annually
