Senior Enterprise Network Engineer #S05121P – University of Texas at Dallas

This position will be hired as a Network Engineer IV and will function as a Senior Enterprise Network Engineer. This position is a highly functioning seasoned IT professional that provides subject matter expert proficiency within the Enterprise Network Engineering family. He/she will develop and apply technical expertise and leadership in two or more IT disciplines that support the technical infrastructure. This includes technologies, systems, networks, data architectures, capacity planning, performance management, security, and configuration management. Serves as the senior Enterprise network engineer resource supporting the Enterprise Network Connectivity for UT Dallas environment, to include connectivity to the Internet and various research and education networks and to support related systems and services. Management, configuration, operation, and monitoring of network security devices including switches, routers, WAP, load balancers, and firewalls associated with the UT Dallas environment and remote sites.

Responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying technologies. In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well as hardware and software components. This role provides consulting services to application development teams and/or customers regarding technologies and the application of specific technology standards.
