Locksmith #S04384P – University of Texas at Dallas

Perform locksmith functions for campus. Install, maintain, inspect and repair mechanical and electrical locks. Install and repair all manner of door hardware. Work with key control software system.

Check keys in and out using the SimpleK key management database. Process key requests, cut new keys, and enter data into SimpleK.
– Operate the key engraving machine, HPC and duplicating key machines, BEST key punches.
– Pin A2, A3, and CORMAX cores.
– Assist Lead Locksmith with A2 key tree.
– Install and repair all door hardware: hinges, locksets, panics, closers, and auto door operators.
– Ensure compliance with all applicable NFPAADA, and IBC codes.
– Work with vendors as necessary for additional installation and repair work; sign off on job if satisfactorily completed.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; one to three years commercial locksmith experience; valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record; Knowledge of manual and electronic locksets, auto door operators, door hardware, and panics; knowledge of BEST lock systems.
