Lead Developer #S04500P – University of Texas at Dallas

Responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application. Supervises a team of developers. Work with IT teams and customers and provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship.

Management and Supervision – 70%
o Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
o Schedule and lead technical specification meetings and help design detailed software documentations based on business requirements gained through interacting with Lead Business Analysts and users
o Supervisory responsibility for team of developers and assigns work
o Formulates performance standards, conducts performance evaluations and initiates personnel actions
o Assist Manager in resource allocation by analyzing documented business requirements and process analysis
o Provide developers and users assistance/direction for ad hoc data reporting, and, as needed, develop reports using PeopleSoft and Oracle reporting toolset
o Ensure developers adhere to high-quality development standards
Development – 25%
o Lead technical review with users and Business Analysts on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the root cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, implement the correction/customization.
o Validate and approve requests for changes made directly in PRD in Directors absence
o Actively participate in meetings as Application Development Manager liasion, reporting back with updates and changes made
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience or associate’s degree and 8 years of related experience or high school diploma and 10 years of related experience.
