IT Support Specialist III #S04659P – University of Texas at Dallas

The IT Support Specialist III is responsible for providing advanced support and administration for Microsoft 365. The ITSS III will work in conjunction with the Service Desk staff, Microsoft Stack team, and others on the M365 team to administer, maintain, and resolve issues that may occur. The ITSS III will be responsible for contributions to the quality, training, and knowledge initiatives within the M365 support team. The ITSS III is a hands-on technical position that works on advanced technical tasks, conducts research, and other duties as required.

o Implement new application strategy for M365 (Bookings, Lists, etc…)

o Establish prioritization process to support products with greatest impact.

o Review 3rd party add-on requests and provide recommendations

o Train on automation of business processes using tools like Power Automate

o Ownership of Teams and Stream applications

o Solve business problems by suggesting strategy based on M365 and other products currently available

o Analysis and Reporting of Microsoft 365 product usage (marketing/user-based, and exec reports)

o Ability to participate actively in TAP (Technology Adoption Program) and validate technical signoffs for new implementations

o Ability to administer Teams Telephony

o Manage audit and compliance requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and at least three to five years of relevant experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
