Enterprise Systems Developer I #S04492P – University of Texas at Dallas

The Enterprise Systems Developer I (ESD I) works collaboratively within the ERP development team that supports the student information system, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, on tasks in support of our campus business users.

This role requires an individual who can work together to ensure that assignments are completed on time.

The ESD I will be responsible for supporting the full range of modules within the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions product and will be expected to provide production support, technical and process documentation, and follow established development and change control standards.
The ESD I should have a strong team-player attitude and willingness to be comfortable working with campus business owners. The position requires an individual who can understand functional requirements and business processes to ensure compatibility with proposed technical solutions.
  • Provide production support services as required. Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft system-related problems to ensure the accuracy of business-critical systems. Participate in support rotation and provide on-call support services as needed.
  • Fundamental understanding of administrative systems including working knowledge of systems development life cycle.
  • Strong orientation to customer service and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Develops and customizes reports, interfaces and new processes using PeopleTools and other 3rd party tools such as SQLSQR, PS/Query and XML to deliver required functionality.
  • Collaborate with technical team members, subject matter experts, and project teams to deliver enhancements that are compliant with industry and application best practices.
  • Responsible for retrofitting code changes and enhancements. This includes writing new code and re-writing old code to ensure that the application of the fixes and patches will function seamlessly in the newly upgrade/patched environment.
  • Interacts with Database Administrators, Network, and other technical groups.
  • Effectively forecasts required time and resources and follows established methodology.
  • Analyzes, designs, and creates technical specifications for the PeopleSoft applications and functions.
  • Completes the duties and responsibilities with supervision of senior personnel and/or management

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with One to three years of experience in related field. Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered.
