Air Quality Technical Planning and Analysis Intern – North Central Texas Council of Governments

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting with data collection, organization, and analysis
  • Assisting with event coordination, which includes meetings and webinars
  • Assisting with the review of NCTCOG websites related to Air Quality Technical Planning and Analysis
  • Assisting with the interpretation and analysis of air quality-related rules and legislation
  • Researching emissions reduction strategies and best practices
  • Drafting, for supervisor review, responses to various inquiries
  • Assisting with the interpretation of charts, maps, plots, and reports
  • Drafting presentations for supervisor review, with the opportunity to deliver oral presentations to staff
  • Serving as a representative of NCTCOG’s goals and mission

Required Skills

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline-driven environment without diminishing quality of work
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to listen to and follow instructions, coordinate with other team members, and present ideas
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Sound mathematical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
