Our goal is for children with special needs to have the opportunity to reach their highest potential socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and academically. Our team of professionals collaborates with all involved parties--the child, family, caregivers, teachers, school officials, medical doctors -- to support and enhance the quality of life for the child and family.
Assessment of Abilities & Needs
A psycho-educational evaluation—to identify strengths and emotional, social, psychological, or academic needs—is the first step toward developing a plan to support the individual and family.
Psycho-educational Evaluations and Diagnostic Testing for Children and Adolescents
We offer psycho-educational testing for children of all ages to assist in diagnostic assessment and treatment recommendations.
Early Childhood Intervention
Our licensed specialists offer expert assessment, planning, and recommendations for children from birth through age 3.
Age-Appropriate Play Therapy for Children
We provide age-appropriate play therapy for children, to help them understand their feelings, and develop appropriate skills to better cope with them. We also provide individual counseling for parents as appropriate.
Counseling for Adolescents
Our experts provide one-on-one counseling for adolescents with special needs, helping them to identify the source of problems or concerns and develop skills and behaviors to better cope with them. We can also provide individual counseling for parents as appropriate.
School Mental-Health Counseling
Our in-school counselors work with teachers and students to identify any special needs and provide services or referrals as appropriate.
School and Family Liaison
Our School and Family Liaison works to involve parents, teachers, and the school director as plans are created and implemented to address a child’s behavioral, academic and social development, coordinating with specialized services as needed—such as testing, speech/language therapy, or occupational therapy.
Our speech-language pathologists work one-on-one with children to diagnose and treat speech and language deficits to help children develop better communication at home, school, and in social situations.
A consulting psychiatrist is available should those services be necessary.
Care Management for Children & Adolescents
We offer care management for those whose needs are best met by an individual to coordinate a variety of services.
