JFS Junior Advisory Board (JAB)
The JFS Junior Advisory Board (JAB) is made up of creative, passionate and dedicated Dallas-area high-school students of all faiths and backgrounds. Their goal is to identify areas that are of most importance for teens and create a unique, open forum for discussion, education and engagement between peers based on the mission and values of Jewish Family Service.
Using the PARE model (Preparation, Action, Reflection, Evaluation), our student leaders design and implement service projects that help the Dallas community. The 2012-2013 theme of service selected by our teens is education and children. During this year, our board will plan different activities to create a bigger impact in the community focusing on these five modes: direct service, philanthropy, advocacy, community organizing, social entrepreneurship.
Applications are now being accepted for the JFS JAB! For more information about JAB or any of our exciting programs, , please contact Beri Schwitzer, JFS Director of Volunteer Services, at 972.437.9950 (ext 248) or
